Why Choose Jackson Medical Group for Urgent Care?
Unlike standalone urgent care clinics, our providers know your medical history. As an established primary care practice serving Santa Barbara County since 1985, we offer something most urgent care centers can't — continuity of care. If you're an existing patient, your visit is already in your chart. If you're new, we'd love to become your long-term primary care provider too.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment for urgent care?
We recommend calling ahead at 805-682-8844 to secure a same-day appointment, though we do our best to accommodate walk-ins based on availability.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept more PPO insurance plans and Medicare than any other primary care practice in Santa Barbara. Visit our Insurance page to check your coverage.
What's the difference between urgent care and the ER?
The ER is best for life-threatening conditions like chest pain, difficulty breathing, or severe trauma. For everything else — infections, minor injuries, flu symptoms — urgent care at Jackson Medical Group is faster, more affordable, and covered by most insurance plans.
Can I become a regular patient after an urgent care visit?
Absolutely. We're currently accepting new patients at all three locations and would be happy to become your long-term primary care provider.
